Lia Mendez Artist Pop Up




Lia Mendez will be outside in our "Big Top" tent on Saturday, August 20th from 11:30-3 with a variety of prints, paper maché art, coloring books and more! She will also be doing portrait illustrations and offer pet portraits if you bring a photo!

Artist Spotlight: Jason Oberbeck

Jason Oberbeck grew up in the Midwest often drawing his favorite comic book and cartoon characters. Funny enough as it sounds, in his junior high year he discovered the Renaissance Masters Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael and Donatello through the reading of the comic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles . From there on Jason became more serious about his talent for art and became a student at Memphis College of Art in the Fall of 1996. There he studied Fine Arts and graduated with a BFA in 2000. After leaving Memphis in 2001, he moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to work in the sign and advertising industry as a billboard painter. He quickly worked his way up to Art Director in the design department. Call to Artists - True Love and Broken Hearts February Show

We are seeking work for a group show opening in February! What could be more fitting than show about love and heartbreak? Deadline to apply is January 5, 2015 If you are selected to exhibit you will be asked to submit 1 or 2 pieces for the show. Work must be dropped off by JANUARY 26, 2015. 2-D or 3-D work accepted. Must be ready to hang/display, all mediums will be accepted, nothing larger than 40" wide or tall.
